The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), together with the Webinar Steering Committee (volunteers from the 2010 SPE Intelligent Energy Programme Committee) will be inviting authors, to participate in live WebEx events every month. The WebEx sessions are free and provide an insight into what will be presented at Intelligent Energy International 2012, for which registration is now open. Berggraf, Statoil Presenter: Thomas Halland, Statoil The standard business model between operators and service companies give service companies little or no incentive to invest huge amounts of money upgrading their real time solutions according to new requirements. This presentation shows how Statoil implemented a new business model securing service company real-time drilling data deliverables with high availability and quality. The idea was simple: change the end-point of the real-time data deliverables from offshore to onshore, and implement KPI’s linked directly to the MWD/LWD and ML invoices each month.
