"GEOPRESSURE ASSESSMENT AND ITS IMPACT ON WELLBORE CONSTRUCTION" 20 - 23 February 2012 · Phuket, Thailand
REGISTER NOW TO ENJOY EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT!
This joint event, organized by
the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Society of Exploration
Geophysicists (SEG), will focus on a broad range of topics related to
pore pressure analysis and its impact on wellbore stability. The
technical program will cover new techniques and technologies for pore
pressure analysis and detection, advances in understanding overpressure
generation mechanisms and distribution, with added emphasis on pore
pressure prediction in HPHT environments, carbonates-dominated basins,
and overpressure problems in deepwater settings.
This
workshop will also cover the whole life cycle of pore pressure
prediction, leading into assessment of wellbore stability from pre-drill
modelling and well planning, through prediction while drilling and
real-time mitigation, to post drill analysis. The objective of this
joint workshop is to improve communication between the engineering and
geoscience communities during wellbore construction, pore-pressure
prediction, and detection process.
The
workshop is designed for experts, engineers and geoscientists from oil
companies, service companies and academia who are interested in
developing a cross-disciplinary perspective on pore pressure and
wellbore stability issues in geopressured basins.
